AN ANCOATS-based company which is already the market leader in
anti-finger-trapping devices in schools has decided to expand even further.

Fingershield Safety UK, based at The Old School House on Lind Street, opened in 1999 by entrepreneur Frank Garvey.

From blogging and podcasting to interactive learning solutions, developments in technology have been so prolific within the last 10 years that schools are literally spoilt for choice.

Paul Davies, company spokesman, said: “Fingershield Safety UK has experienced an incredible rate of growth since it was founded.

“Having already protected the fingers of an estimated one million children throughout the United Kingdom, Fingershield is also well established in the USA, Ireland and, most recently, Scandinavia.

“To compliment this international growth, Fingershield is also expanding in terms of its product range.

“Fingershield now offers additional safety products and is looking to develop into the ICT products sector to help schools.

“What is more, Fingershield has been awarded a Quality Assurance accreditation for the Fingershield product for three consecutive years and has achieved Investor in People status.

“And with a keen interest in penetrating new international markets and further developing its product range, Fingershield is set to continue this remarkable history of growth.”
