After beating off stiff competition to win a coveted scholarship place on the UKTI organised US Marketing Scholarship Programme, Fingershield has proved a worthy attendee by putting learning into practice and opening their first USA office in Jacksonville, Florida.
Fingershield has expanded operations after attending the two week marketing course at Kellogg School of Management in Chicago, sponsored by the Ellis Goodman Foundation and British Airways.
Attendee John Stockwell said
"The marketing strategies and information gained on the course have proved invaluable and when put into practice back home coupled with all the other guidance from UKTI it helped make the decision to finally open up the office in the USA. UKTI have played a pivotal role throughout the process continually advising on this expansion programme."
The core products of the Fingershield Group are the Fingershield devices which secure to the hinge side of doors and prevent fingerpinch accidents between the door and the frame - go to the Fingershield Website to see how the device works. Most susceptible to these types of accidents are young children and Fingershield has found a big market in Child Care Centers in the US.
