In July 2006, the Managing Director of Fingershield Safety (UK), Mr. Paul O’Carroll, was invited to attend an important Education Forum at the Houses of Parliament.

The event – “Building Schools for the Future: Investment, Communication and Best Practice” – discussed important issues affecting schools today and showcased those schools that are moving successfully into the later stages of the BSF (Building Schools for the Future) programme.

Delegates ranged from Head Teachers and Local Authority representatives through to education professionals and architects, and amongst the issues discussed were funding arrangements; the role of design and IT, and the best way forward for public policy.
