Fingershield Makes the Finals of the National Council for Work Experience Awards 2005/06
Over the past two years, Fingershield has actively endeavoured to provide stimulating work placement projects for young people. The most recent placement was carried out by a Finnish student who worked with the company for two months, focusing his efforts on the company’s latest venture, the 2Nc Alert anti-bullying and truancy system.
In the past, two people have worked on helping the company penetrate the American market for the Fingershield product. These projects have proven to be a great success, so much so that one of the students won first place in the local round of the Shell Technology Enterprise Programme Awards 2005 for his achievements at Fingershield. Interestingly, the USA is not the only foreign market that has formed the basis of an exciting work placement.
Last summer, Fingershield employed a French student to help the company expand its operations into France and has very recently welcomed another French student to further develop this project.
Fingershield puts great value on the work performed by the placement students it attracts and was delighted to be short-listed for the National Council for Work Experience Awards this year.
