Fingershield Puts The Fun Into Fundraising

Fingershield Safety (UK) has always been passionate about raising money for charity and 2006 will be no exception; the company has a whole host of fundraising activities planned for the New Year.

The Finance team lay down the law in their police uniforms. At the end of every month, each department is to put on a theme of the day to raise money for the company charity, the Christie Hospital NHS Trust. The Finance Team kick started this series of company charity events with a strictly regimented Police Officers Day on 30 January 2006. In keeping with this theme, every member of the Fingershield team had to abide by a list of ten rules, with fines allocated to each one. It came as no surprise to find that the rules were extremely easy to break, with obligations such as having to hold your mug using your left hand only! The day proved to be a great success, with over £50 raised for Christie’s.

Running alongside these events, Fingershield has been sending charity Christmas cards for the past two years, raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care in 2005. What’s more, we organised a raffle for our Annual Christmas Dinner in 2005, which raised over £100 for Christie’s and, with the exciting programme of fundraising activities we have planned for 2006, we hope to raise much more throughout the course of the year.
