Fingershield attended the event in search of potential distributors, agents or joint venture opportunities in Ireland. Chris Higgins, marketing executive for Fingershield, whom attended the international networking meeting along with Angela Haworth from the Enterprise Europe Network North West,  also got a mention in a national paper: the Irish Examiner*, which quoted:

‘’It is the biggest event of its kind in Ireland and according to Chris Higgins of Fingershield UK, it would be hard to find something similar in Britain.
I came over from Manchester to look for Irish distributors and the possibility of a joint venture. It is a very interesting event and there’s nothing as big as this in the UK."

Chris Higgins further commented on the Corkmeet 2010 meeting as follows:

‘‘It was a very successful event; we received a lot of interest in our Fingershield range of door safety products from a number of companies. Also, we are delighted that out of the 300 companies who attended, we were one of only two companies to be mentioned in the Irish Press.’’
