Stansted Primary School Gets Both Sides Covered

In a recent interview with Stansted Primary School in Kent, Head Teacher Patricia Craine (pictured left) told us why she considered it important to protect both sides of her doors with Fingershield door safety devices.

“We felt that if we were to protect only one side of the doors, we would be merely reducing the risk and not eliminating it. This is why we opted to buy the Fingershield Door Protection Packs,” Patricia explained.

With Fingershields fitted to doors throughout the Sevenoaks-based school, from classroom doors to those located in the hall and toilet areas, Patricia now has complete peace of mind as children pass from room to room.

“When you think of how many children you have in the school every minute of every day, the law of averages tells you that it’s only a matter of time that an accident will happen,” warned Patricia.

Making Door Protection a Must

Passionate about keeping her pupils safe, Patricia commented: “Unfortunately, schools, homes and indeed all types of establishment often only become fully aware of the danger posed by doors when an accident happens.

“I really do believe that prevention is better than cure, and if you want to keep children safe, the Fingershields are a must. I personally believe that they should be made compulsory in all primary schools on all doors.”
