Keeping Health and Safety on Track

In an age where Health and Safety is such a growing priority, the National Railway Museum is one of many establishments that are committed to keeping the safety of their visitors on track. The museum’s Kelly Melarkey said: “When you have so many children and families coming to the museum each day, door safety is such an important issue that it simply has to be addressed – this is why we considered it important to protect the doors with Fingershield.”

Having first installed Fingershield devices in May 2001, Kelly commented: “Any reports of accidents and injuries are always channelled through our department and, since we have had the Fingershield devices installed, we haven’t received any reports of finger-trapping accidents taking place at the museum.
